LASER CUTTING & ETCHING
We are able to laser cut Paper, Perspex & Wood. Most papers and cardboard stocks cut well with the laser some burning a little more than others. On the wood side we mostly cut SupaWood, Various Plywood’s & softwoods, Masonite & Novalite. Thickness ranges from 2 – 10mm. Our laser cutter can accommodate a sheet size of 1200mm x 800mm and larger sheets depending on the design and dimensions of the artwork.
We are also able to etch into various surfaces with the laser, and variable depths depending on the material used. See our portfolio page for some examples.
PREPARING ARTWORK
We accept Vector (Scalable Line Art) formats in PDF, Adobe Illustrator (Ai) and AutoCAD dfx files.
We charge a R 250.00 setup fee for conversion of your artwork. Time spent correcting artwork will be billed at our DTP rate of R 450.00 per hour. Laser Cutting is billed at R 300.00 per hour or part thereof. Before the start of each project we asses your artwork and quote on time and materials needed.
